From Obama’s 2008 election campaign to Arab Spring and Occupy movements, social networking has played a significant political role within national borders. “Kony 2012” and Invisible Children has extended those borders to 80 million around the world. Looking ahead, Haaretz’s editor says “Israel should take note of ‘Kony 2012.’ It would not be far-fetched to assume that a similar film will be made about the Palestinian conflict.”
