The US can contribute to peace in the Middle East and save more than $50 billion in ten years if it cuts its superfluous aid granted to the non taxpaying state of Israel. US tax payers are certainly more deserving of the money than the subsidized illegal Israeli colonies over Palestinian land.

The Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) has expressed willingness to offer Israel far-reaching concessions in return for the establishment of a viable Palestinian state in all or most of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem. Some of the offered concessions constitute clear abandonment of Palestinian national constants and other long-standing Palestinian positions.

The story of Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard is very well known. Pollard was responsible for the murder of 100 CIA agents, whose names were included in vital intelligence he turned over to the Soviet Union.

Our government has remained silent and done nothing to end Israel’s brutal occupation. In fact, our tax dollars help fund the occupation through an annual grant to Israel that exceeds $3 billion and $120 billion over the past 3 decades. Californians can help end our government’s complicity and help begin a state-by-state divestiture movement that parallels the anti-Apartheid movement that helped end white rule in South Africa.
