There are currently 42,000 Palestinian refugees from Syria who have been forced into Lebanon as a result of the crisis in Syria. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees expect 80,000 Palestinians by the end of the year. Others estimate the December 2013 number will exceed 100,000.

I am certain that the conflict won’t be over until the disappearance of the ideology of Zionism that makes Israel a colonialist state. This is not wishful thinking; Zionism carries within it the seeds of its own demise and Israel is a state based on the dispossession of another people. It is, therefore, based on oppression and injustice. As such, its lifespan will not be very long.
