    Regarding the central plank:

    Maybe they are just taking the advice of Norman Finkelstein
    He has criticized BDS for claiming to be a “Rights Based” organization, grounded in international law, yet ignoring international law when it suits their purposes.
    He has said that such brazen hypocrisy will inhibit the movement from winning over the broad public it needs to achieve its goals.

    One example he uses to illustrate his point is the ICJ decision on the Wall. The court ruled that the wall is illegal(a decision I agree with and celebrate), but it also ruled, in the same case, that Israel’s legal borders are the June 1967 borders. If you accept one you need to accept the other, and maybe BDS is accepting this reality.
