Rania Masri: Arab League’s Syria Sanctions Reveal its Lack of Credibility [VIDEO]

Dr. Rania Masri from the University of Balamand in Beirut says Arab League was designed by the West to support former colonial countries’ interests in the Arab world.

It’s not just Egypt’s fate that’s being decided in Cairo, but Syria’s future as well. Arab League members have approved unprecedented economic sanctions against Damascus over its crackdown on protesters. The measures were voted for by 19 out of 22 nations and they include a travel ban on senior officials, freezing deals with the Syrian central bank and suspending flights into the country. Damascus has already condemned the move as a betrayal of Arab solidarity.
