One Third of Libya Turns Out to Support Qaddafi in World’s Largest March Ever

1.7 million people, or around 95% of the population of Tripoli, one third of the entire population of Libya, have turned out in perhaps the largest demonstration ever in world history last Friday, to demand an end to the NATO bombings of Libya. Photos: Mohanned Magam

First this was shown to be a lie when the Russian military, for the first time publicly displayed video footage from its military spy satellites which showed that no Libyan air force flights took place, nor any massacres, during the months that NATO had claimed as a reason for it launching the now more than 3 month long non-stop bombing of Libya.
The world thought that this would show NATO and the media of those countries, USA, France, Britain, Italy and much of Europe, that there was no massacres or killings by Qaddafi at all, so NATO can call off its “war is peace” bombing campaign and go home. But clearly NATO knew this all along, after all, they too have spy satellites.
It has now taken an entire one third of the population of Libya, exasperated by the lack of truthful media coverage of the events in their country where the only murders that have taken place have been by the NATO-supported rebels which took over Benghazi, to take to the streets to prove the lie that they are being attacked by Qaddafi.
As this video (if you can’t see it just above, means you are missing a plug in, install the plugin or download the video, it is in 3GP Nokia Video format), taken by an amateur phone camera, from on top one of the buildings overlooking Green Square in Tripoli on July 1st, to show the lie. Many professional recordings of the event also proliferate the Internet and several international news networks were forced to finally cover the mass demonstrations against NATO and in support of Qaddafi, by the sheer size of this latest demonstration.
The crowd can be heard chanting in Arabic “People want Colonel Qaddafi”, and also the 4.5km and 1.5km long green national flags can be seen making the world’s longest ever flag of total 6km. The Libyan flag is plain green so that citizens can easily make their flag, because the Libyan system of government is based on direct participatory democracy, people’s conferences and people’s committees.
The video above (if you can’t see it, look for a message near the top of your window telling you that you need to install a plugin to enable showing of Nokia videos) was taken on the cell phone of Mohanned Magam, 23 years old, who contacted Mathaba on May 26 seeking help to publicise his idea for a “million man march” for Peace in Libya:

We are making this appeal because we are suffering great hardships because of the daily bombing of our cities and the blockade of Libya by NATO forces. Too many civilians have already been killed, men women and children by NATO which is making our life harder with each passing day. So we are making this appeal to you to help us organise an event to raise public awareness about our suffering with a march around the world’s capitals against the aggression on Libya and to defend our unique Direct People Democracy in Libya. Please help us because we are dying day by day here. We ask Mathaba if it is possible to be involved in organizing this march and to let as many people as possible to know about this event. We would really appreciate your kind help and God willing we can help to stop this war in Libya.

Mohanned also set up a Facebook page and shared his idea with his family and friends, and it spread around Tripoli. Some first attempts raised smaller crowds, and then brought around 400,000 people to the streets, and finally on Friday 1st July, an estimated one million seven hundred thousand (1.7 million) people took to the streets as the idea spread and also received TV news coverage.
A delighted Colonel Muammar Qaddafi addressed the crowd with an impromptu speech which again was widely misreported by NATO countries media including the BBC and British and European press, who said that he called for attacks on Europe. Readers can see for themselves, and also listen to the original Arabic recording of the event, to see that yet again “our” western media is lying.
Mohanned now believes that the marches will grow even further and extend to other cities in Libya should NATO fail to see the entire one third of the population waving green flags on the ground, something they surely cannot fail to notice even from 30,000 feet (10 km) up in the air from where they drop their bombs, nor would the cowardly computer operators based in the USA who fly remote-controlled drones which fire missiles at Libyans day and night have failed to see this as they have cameras that zoom in on their targets.
The pilots, commanders, and drone computer operators, will all face future crimes against humanity charges, for participation in an illegal war when it can be proven that it has been launched on clear lies, and for which ignorance is not a defence from execution for such crimes, as was evidenced at the Nuremberg Trials.
Every one who takes part in a war, an act of aggression, piloting a drone, launching a missile, or dropping a bomb, whether giving the command to do so or carrying out the order, has an obvious and no-brainer duty to check to see whether or not he is committing a crime.
As the entire war violates even the resolutions which the NATO states passed at the UN, and violates the US constitution as well as the Italian constitution, and violates all international laws and was conducted deliberately preventing every effort at peaceful negotiation especially under the auspices of the African Union, there is absolutely no doubt that these people, unlike the Vietnam war veterans who returned home traumatised and to be spat upon, will face a far worse fate, as the memory of justice is long.
Already World People’s Conferences on Crimes Against Humanity are likely to take place later this year and from which World People’s Tribunals set up by an International Justice Committee will try and sentence all those, no matter if they are granted “protection and immunity” from their governments, as it is becoming clear that even the most powerful governments in the world are also falling. The U.S. itself is totally bankrupt, and it has now been revealed that all the U.S. gold from Fort Knox was stolen (see other recent news articles).

I’ve known five Libyans here in usa as part of “internships”. They all loved Qaddafi, and the progress he provided the people. Even after the 1986 attack, they believed that despite the attack, a good relationship could be established with usa. Why? Because they believed that Americans are, at heart , a good people, in spite of their government. Guess they were wrong.

Each man is giving his opinion. They are entitled. It would do us all well if we listened. Tripoli supports Qaddafi but apparently much of rest of country doesn’t. Place it on the ballot, put it to a honest vote.
Also pro Qaddafi comment writes in excellent American English… which is okay if above board.

If the majority of the country is against Qadafi how come they are having a hard time taking over, even with NATO and US involvement, Majority is number, and numbers win a war or even heavy bombardment, however the reslove of a determined people always prevails no mater how long it takes, rebels are funded by West and armed by them as well, if you say the majority are agianst Qadafi then they should have more ARMS, and AMMO and that should be enough for them to march right in and take over, but how come they dont, i will tell you. Just like the picture above states it that rebels represent the minority, they need to be heard not given the power to govern. I am for peace and justice and if they have a concern that was bothering them how come they did not take it up in courts, if they were denied rights then how come there were no human rights orginzations involved to take it to the interanational community, but rather they took over arms being a minority depended on NATO for help. But like Gerard said, Independant monitary system that has not been corrupted by Fedreal Reserve or ECB. That was one reason for US & EU to attach and tap into the Oil reserves and 150 thousand kg of gold. what is the first thing the rebels do, They open up their on Central Bank,get the picture. How ever on a broader prespective, Qadafi wanted to make Africa a united nations by some surprise called it USA “United States of Africa” that was his goal and under African Union that goal was becoming more realistic and western powers had to respond quick, another reason is that China relay’s on Africa to minirals to fuel is growing economy, and by keeping Africa divided it can slow down the pace of China repid grown, further more atleast 50 chines companies have tapped into Lybia economy and were doing very well, up untill NATO lead war. There is more and i can go on but for now i think i have covered it. Majority want Qadafi in power, my view is his legacy should not become his families legacy as well, there should be fair chance for other public entaties to have a say in the country as well. Rebals are a minority of about few hundred people of a particular sect, and were very close to Saif Al Islam, and he had supported them but did not know they will from backdoor channels want his family out who are anit-west.

It is surprising to me that “Intifada” is publishing this nonsense. Although “Intifada” may know much about what is happening in Palestine, apparently they have little knowledge as to what is happening in other Muslim countries.
It is well known that Qadafi is a vicious tyrant, yes a vicious tyrant. Anyone who is anti Qadafi is not a Zionist. On the contrary, anyone who has sense enough to know what is going on would be both anti Qadafi, as well as, anti-Zionist.
As far as “Mathaba” is concerned… I used to subscribe to it until it showed itself to be both pro Qadafi and racist.

I saw the video and it appears it was a huge pro-Qaddafi rally. All streets leading to Green Square were packed. I never expected so called free press to report Pro Qaddafi demonstrations. The western mainstream media is a tool used by U.S. and their NATO Allies to legitimize their criminal bombings and whole scale massacre of Libyans. The rebels are also tools hatched by the CIA and NATO. Its all about oil. Libya has The largest oil reserves in Africa, and Libyan oil is of best quality in the planet.

You might be right that the western mainstream media is a tool used by U.S. and their NATO Allies (I can argue though because Russian, Chines, and other medias are in Libya and yet no one reported that) even if that is true, Gadhafi’s minders and gangsters always control how the international media people cover the events in Tripoli and other sieged cities and towns of Libya… They were and still are reporting what they are allowed to report, couple of days ago they were taken to Gharian to show that the city is supporting Gadhafi, so i wonder why they were not allowed to report the so called the World’s Largest March Ever!!!!
