No reason for the sale was mentioned in the report to the SEC.
In another blow to Israeli shares, the Harvard Management Company notified the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday that it had sold all its holdings in Israeli companies during the second quarter of 2010. No reason for the sale was mentioned. The Harvard Management Company manages Harvard University’s endowment.
Harvard Management Company stated in its 13-F Form that it sold 483,590 shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) for $30.5 million; 52,360 shares in NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) for $1.67 million; 102,940 shares in Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP) for $3.6 million; 32,400 shares in Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) for $1.1 million, and 80,000 Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) shares for $1.8 million.
Harvard Management Company’s 13-F Form shows some interesting investments. Its two largest holdings, each worth $295 million, are in iShares ETFs, one on Chinese equities, and the other on emerging markets. Harvard also owns $181 million in a Brazilian ETF.

Don’t think that Harvard grew a conscience. They’re investing in China. So much for the good ‘ol USA. With grads like Ted kennedy and “famous” economist Paul Krugman(Mr. Kensian Economics)at the help, we’re toast anyway. Well, watch that space – I fully expect the Dean of Harvard to be ejected from his job by one group or another of the ‘Friends of Israel’as happened to Professor Norman Finkelstein. The pernicious influence of these groups extends to every area of society. I have just received a lifetime ban from a small online Bridge Club, Bridge Club Live, for daring to compare Zionists to Nazis. I had overlooked the management team’s recent brainwashing trip round Israel.
You have to hand it to these Zionazis, they have brilliantly organised worldwide and are trained to respond with Israeli propaganda to any criticism and/or to try to destroy the critic’s livelihood – even the highly respected and distinguished Helen Brown fell victim. Apart from supporting the most evil terrorist state since Nazi Germany, they constitute a serious threat to the democratic principles of the USA and most Western Countries. They need to be countered regardless of the risk of being labelled anti-semitic.
PS Why is Israel’s possession of a huge nuclear arsenal tolerated? Does Israel need a nuclear deterrent? NO. Why have nuclear weapons, then, unless there is an intention to use them. Israel’s nuclear capability is the spur for its enemies to go nuclear too and, therefore, is responsible for any proliferation in nuclear armaments with the consequential threat to the future of the World.
