Jerusalem Mayor greeted with protests in London [VIDEO]

The Mayor of Jerusalem is in London this week where he’s faced protests over the building of 1600 settler homes in East Jerusalem.

Nir Barkat, the mayor of Jerusalem was greeted with hundreds of demonstrators on his visit to London last week. The Human Rights activists protested the ethnic cleansing, continuing illegal land grab in Palestinian territories and the construction of 1600 settler homes in East Jerusalem.

 Israel is planning a total of 50,000 housing units planned in the coming years – doubling the settler population – and reducing the Palestinian population to a third.

 The demonstration was organized by: Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War Coalition, British Muslim Initiative, Jews for Justice for Palestinians, Friends of Lebanon, Friends of Sabeel UK, Architects and Planners for Justice in Palestine
