UK STUDENTS SUPPORT PALESTINIAN CAUSE: 22 UNIVERSITIES OCCUPIED BY STUDENTS!

Israel’s criminal attack on Gaza has sparked occupations on campuses all across Britian.
The last two weeks have seen an extraordinary wave of solidarity action for Gaza on Britain’s campuses, with student occupations at 22 universities and colleges so far.The students’ demands have been for the universities and colleges to provide scholarships for Palestinian students, to send books and unused computers to Palestine, to condemn the Israeli attacks on Gaza and to disinvest from Israel, specifically from investing in BAE, which supplies arms to Israel. A victory for these demands has been won in the majority of universities and colleges which took action. More occupations are likely to follow on other campuses. Stop the War has organised a student activists’ meeting in London on Saturday 7 February, at which the speakers will include Tony Benn, George Galloway MP, Jeremy Corbyn MP and Lindsey German, national convenor of Stop the War.The meeting is open to everyone who wants to build an active anti-war movement on campus. Please publicise the meeting as widely as you can.
